A few weeks ago I was speaking in Washington to a group of about 500. I was discussing the fact that human beings have what I call a "Divine power leak." What I mean by that is that we are leaking our Divinity right out of our human bodies. I spoke for a couple of hours suggesting that the reason we are leaking power is the result of three main issues. First, we still believe in separation, second we do a miserable job at loving ourselves (personally I know it's because we've never been properly guided in how to do such a vital job) and the third reason being that we believe our experiences define us. They don't.

On the airplane coming home it came to me that there was a fourth, and very important reason why we "leak power." We don't trust ourselves. And that's big. Consider this—we are constantly asking for others opinions in regard to our personal lives. (I am in no way talking about medical advice or technical advice, or loving support. Support is not opinion.)

This business of running to others for opinions regarding our lives is dangerous for numerous reasons. It sets up a pattern of separation within our own selves. We render ourselves incapable of building a solid ground upon which to come to know that we can be trusted with our own lives. And furthering that, we don't allow the voice of our Souls and the guidance realms to be heard through us.

All of the above creates a power leak in a big way. It is saying to the Universe, "I can not be trusted with my own life." Wow what a powerful message! Perhaps that's one of the major reasons that humanity is in such personal and worldly turmoil. There's a simple old Quaker quote that says: "Let your life speak!"

We have the answers to our lives right inside of ourselves. We have got to quiet down and connect to both the God that lives within us, and the higher nature that lives as part of us, so we can hear the answers that deal with our specific life. A huge part of our life's work is Mastery over the lower human nature that does not trust itself. Another part of being the master of your human-ship is following the internally guided messages, regardless of other people's opinions. The blessing is that once you are courageous enough to allow your Life to speak, and you see that it does lead you in the precise direction you were intended to go for your highest good, you will begin a trusting relationship with yourself. There is no other door to self-trust.

It's vital, particularly now, while in the midst of a powerful rite of passage from lower consciousness to higher consciousness that we begin to love ourselves so much that we are willing to let the Divine Spark of Life that expresses through us, lead us. We must secure faith that we will be clearly guided when we sincerely ask and get quiet for as long or as short a time that it takes to hear the response.

Authentic guidance and answers, not opinions and predictions, will always rise up through us if we let them. Once risen, there is no need to go off and running with it post haste. Sit with it quietly for awhile. Underneath the first burst of wise counsel you receive there is further clarity bubbling beneath the surface. Once you do follow internal guidance you will have a go-by for trusting yourself daily and you will seal up a very large power leak.

***Final thought. If you don't get an answer immediately, find your comfort in the mystery. Mystery is the point of entry for Life to unfold.

My client Serenah Curran was willing to share this story, her words and her real name. She knew I had a newsletter and she wanted others to be reached and served. She said, "If others can be helped by this I will not hide."

Serenah had once been a global light-worker as well as a highly regarded scientist. She traveled and spoke all over the world. She contacted me about six weeks ago to begin personal coaching. At the time we spoke, Serenah had been seriously contemplating leaving this Planet. Darkness had snuffed out (so she thought) the Light that she had intimately known and worked with for most of her life. For her it seemed to just happen, ripping her from the connection to her Creator Source and leaving her seemingly powerless.

She thought she had been stripped of all of her Divine abilities and thought she was now a useless and trapped human on a brutal Planet. Serenah was angry, bitter, confused, and resistant. Her mind and ego had her in a hypnotic trance. She was deeply under their influence and the influence of a supposed "healer" who told her that she had done wrong in this and many lifetimes, her wrong-doings were trapped in her DNA and now she had to pay. Serenah was crushed and terrified. Talk about someone else's opinion leading one astray!!! Fortunately a moment of clarity had her reaching out for the help she instinctively knew she needed.

Our first and second session was a battle between her mind and ego and me. I was determined to hold a different perspective than her mind and ego did. I knew better than to take it personally. I could see her Light and I was aware of the many helpers in the unseen realm ready and willing to help bring Serenah back to life, fully.

Through guidance I deposited perspective and wisdom given to me from the higher realms even though she had a come-back resistant response at every turn. The Light coming through me and surrounding her was greater than the illusion of the Dark attempting to swallow her. Serenah started to cry and then she started to soften. Light is a beautiful and powerful ally.

One of the things Serenah was most bitter about was her seeming inability to write and to serve in the way she was so accustomed to. There was a Divine purpose for this, and finally she allowed the purpose to be revealed. We went to work shoveling off the dirt that her mind and ego had her buried beneath. We uncovered her gold.

Today was our fourth session. Below is what Serenah shared with me that she had written from the center of her heart. (I did not prompt this writing.) She gave me permission to share it with you. Serenah, the lightworker, the sparkling ray of Light is coming back into full power and I am a witness to what happens when we allow ourselves to surrender our resistance and our pain, ask for help (not opinion), and do what it takes to reclaim our power. Here is what Serenah wrote to her ego with which she had so much conflict. She came to knowthat learning to love what attempted to over-throw her brought both of them into balance.

Beloved Ego,
I am grateful for all you have done for me. I ask you now to relax into the comfort of the heart, to soften and breathe a sigh of relief, and allow my hearts love to take over the reigns. Seat yourself in the royal coach, recline and observe as the heart leads the journey. Watch the beauty, the abundance, and the joy as it arrives. Be pleased with your role in these momentous events and smile deep within.

It is so simple. Why do so many of us struggle with this? Because we allow our minds free reign. Has it ever occurred to you to simply say no?  No, to the thought in the mind.  No, to the fear  No, to any thought that is not supportive of you. To simply say no and insert another thought, or to simply say no to the conversations in your head. No, enough of that.  Enough words.  Let me simply flow Love through my Being. We have the power to say no in any moment to our minds and yes to our hearts. Quiet the mind through simple awareness and discipline and allow the heart to speak.
